Androgenetic Alopecia
Androgenetic Alopecia is the genetic term for male or female pattern hair loss, and it is broken down into two parts. Androgenetic first consists of androgen, any of the various hormones that control the appearance and development of masculine characteristics such as testosterone. Second, genetic- the inheritance of genes from either their mothers or fathers side of the family. Androgenetic Alopecia accounts for 95% of all hair loss. It can affect both men and women, although men can experience a much greater degree of hair loss.
